Titanic Distillers launch 05 PX Irish Whiskey

Titanic Distillers launch 05 PX Irish Whiskey

Titanic Distillers have today unveiled the latest expression to their whiskey portfolio, and the first in their new Pumphouse Series which promises to deliver an inspiring journey of flavour over the coming years.

Titanic Distillers 05-PX, limited to only 350 bottles, is a 5-year journey of devotion. This Pot Still Irish Whiskey finds its place in ex- Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, unfolding a robust aroma that evolves into rich fruit cake notes with a deep golden hue, offering a glimpse into the flavours of subtle liquorice and dark chocolate, before the distinctive Irish Pot Still pepperiness shines through to provide a warming finish.

This Limited-Edition release is beautifully presented in a Collector’s Edition giftset which contains four granite whiskey stones and our branded Glencairn tasting glass, exclusively available to buy online or instore in our distillery shop at Thompson Dock, Belfast.

The new launch was celebrated last night in the home of Titanic Distillers, at Thompson Dock. Reflecting on Belfast’s storied industrial and maritime legacy, friends of the brand were invited to taste the new release.

Our Head Distiller, Damien Rafferty was delighted to share the news about his first finish at Titanic Distillers.

Commenting on the launch, Damien said “This release is a huge moment for the brand, as it marks the first bottling of a cask that we have sourced and finished here, on-site, at Thompson Dock.

The Pumphouse series allows us to find, blend, finish and play with unique whiskeys and spirits before our own new make spirit comes of age. This release is the first in a series of bottlings that we will offer, and I can’t wait for what is yet to come.”

Alongside special guests and friends of the brand, members of the Dockers Club in Pilot Street and Welders Club in Dee Street where in attendance last night, in keeping with our motto of ‘Blood, Sweat And Years’ inspired by the people who worked in the city’s shipyard more than a century ago, and whom are integrally celebrated in the artwork of this new release and further Pumphouse Series releases.
